Justin Mealey, Local Sales

I have been working at Bear Creek Lumber just over 7 years now (2007), and plan on staying a long time. My current responsibilities include: local sales and back-up yard supervisor. I have several years of experience with customer service and order building. I am very knowledgeable with all the grades, products and species of lumber available at Bear Creek Lumber.

One of of my favorite products we sell is Clear Douglas Fir, both Vertical Grain and flat grain. Several of my family members are in the building industry, and I always have some interesting tips or bits of knowledge for them, about high grade cedar products. When not at work here at BCL, I enjoy hiking in the high peaks of the Cascades, fishing alpine lakes and of course cross country skiing.

If I had only one tip to give my customers, it would be to make sure you have looked at all your options before you purchase one particular product. There are some many species and grades of lumber to choose from, and some are better suited for an application than others. I recommend, if possible, to come and visit us and have a look at our products for yourself.
