Sage Bannick , Sales - Corporate

I've been involved in the business since I was born. My responsibilities extend beyond the sales dept. into our corporate board, and a Secretary post. I am most interested in the remanufacturing and recycling lumber aspects of our business.

I enjoy carpentry and have worked with Western Red Cedar building furniture. In my spare time I write screenplays and I have written and directed a play before for the big screen.

If I have to give you one tip it would be plan ahead and give yourself plenty of lead time and always order at least 5% extra to cover yourself for trim and waste.

Port Orford Cedar Fence in San Francisco, CA

"Hey Sage, We're finally installing the pickets in the fence project and the Cedar is really beautiful (I'm attaching a few 'in-progress' pics). I want to know if you have more of the 5/4 x 6 in stock, and if so, how quickly you could ship some down here. I'm doing a count of what's left to install and what I'll need, so I can let you know in the next couple of days.
Thanks, Jon"

Sage got this note along with some pictures from Jon, you can see them below. Check back on this project page to see the completed fence.

This Project required Alaskan Yellow Cedar of the highest quality. Custom moulding was done for the 5"x5" posts to fit into a steel receiver. 2"x4" AYC boards are used as stringers, and 5/4"x 6" as paneling. Below are pictures of the posts after being run through the moulder, and the first batch ready to ship. Check back soon to see progress on this project as Sage travels to California to ensure the lumber is up to the customer's satisfaction and takes more pictures.

As with most of his high-end projects, Sage traveled to California to ensure the materials were delivered in a timely fashion and that quality was not compromised during shipping. Here are some of the pictures he brought back. Thanks to Andrew Mitchel, builder of this project, for giving us a tour and explaining some of his techniques.
