Sy Bannick, Sales AssociateBear Creek Lumber has been a part of my life since I was born. I was born in my parents’ house, which at the time was doubling as the Bear Creek Lumber sales office. In my early years I grew up running around bare foot or naked with a Cowboy hat on, which is still a story I hear from the early customers of our lumberyard. I grew up doing various odd jobs around the lumberyard and have had my hand in almost every aspect of this business at different points in my life. After I graduated from high school in 1997 I worked full time for Bear Creek Lumber until 2001. I then went on to college and attended Wenatchee Valley Community College, Cascadia Community College, Edmonds Community College and the University of Washington. I graduated with honors from the UW in 2006 with a Business Degree focused in Finance. After I got out of college I tried my hand in other work, but it turned out that lumber was just part of who I am. I am currently working in sales and looking over the property maintenance on the Bear Creek Lumber campus. I have really enjoyed getting back into providing people with top quality building materials. Peoples’ homes are life long dreams and I find quite a bit of happiness in helping people acquire the materials they need to make their dreams come true. Aside from work, my time is mainly taken up raising my young family. I have a daughter who was born Sept. 28 of 2009. Watching her grow and learn has been a joy in my life. My wife and I are enjoying this time in our lives and are looking forward to raising our family in the beautiful Methow Valley. |
