The WWPA tell us that for finish grades, clears: "...may be ordered when the ultimate in fine appearance is desired. This is the highest grade of lumber produced and many pieces are absolutely clear. Some pieces may have a few minor characteristics which do not detract from their appearance or high quality". A small number of tight, very small knots in a piece is not unusual on this grade.

Note the different colors above (some boards have been finished). Port Orford Cedar, like any other wood, has a range of colors. On special orders we are able to match colors at an extra cost.
